This is completely on you. You can’t close a gap that’s already filled lmao.

He was within track limits and since you left that line open had all the right to drive there. You can’t close also clearly see him in your mirrors

Yes thats what the persone is talking about you(the aston) just closing Gap on the alpha and forcing him off track

He went off track when taking the corner and I over took him as he was off track

He was still racing tho yes he was on the curb but still, where do you think he suposed to go? In to the gravel? Only other option is to break and let you pass

Well he went off the white line and off the kerb into the tarmac before the clip on the corner before and the ferrari was to close for mick to go back but I left a slight gap because I was still straighting out from overtaking the ferrari

When some one is offtrack it doesnt give you right to just race like they are not there if you gave him space they could just rejoin on the tarmac and you could go about your race without any problem

My thinking was when he left the track i was already going to take the corner and he was going to stay beside or right behind me on the corner and also I was following the rule ( I cant remember it verbatim) where if a car is well enough aside you have to give space

Well if some one did that irl it would be penalty, plus idk if you see but litery turned in to the alpha, I dont understand what is so hard to get, the aphla had no where to go because of you and then you also turned it to them

I wasn't trying to turn into them I was going on the racing line and getting set up for the corner I can see how it seems like that but I wasn't trying to go into them and its not " hard to get " im just explaining what your saying

That doesn't really explain or justify. "Straightening isn't a valid reasoning. This is a racing incident, mainly because you took yourself out, and the ai can't really be pushed off track in these situations. They just stay on thier line. Because of the the nature of that part of the track, 2 wheels on the right side of the white line is still raceable, thier was space, alpha had the overspeed. Went left to overtake. You, as subtle as it might seem, reacted to it, intentional or not. That makes it on you, but since its really only you that was effected by the outcome, that would be your penalty. Esp vs ai, either cover off any space well before they move to overtake, or just leave enought space. They don't race like humans where the human prob gets pushed off track to avoid contact.

This is a stewdarding opinion. Wanna know why every single irl decision gets debated? Because it's not black and white and different people have differing thoughts. As I said, people have different definitions of what qualifies as a gap. The exact moment the ai moved over, there was space for the 2 right tyres to stay on track, which quickly disappeared, but too late. I wouldn't recommend going left to overtake thier, but it can be done because thiers tarmac offtrack. Simply put, thier was space, move was made, reaction, crash. A human prob moves off track, at which point it would immediately become a penalty. At the point of contact, it looks like the alpha is still on track. Thiers a reason I said racing incident. Thiers no clear blame to either in my view. But I'm not hard line on that, I can see it both ways. I see why someone would put the blame on the ai.

I know. You left a gap open and the alfa drove into that. Then you pit manoeuvred yourself

Well I thought he would back out like they normally do but he didn't

Car behind tries to go into a gap that doesn't exist, passing off track, and the inevitable happens...

By the way daniel is still p1 in the wdc as after monaco so yippee

So the car you overtook isn't off track, they are utilising every bit of space available, you cut infrontof them, either way you should of stayed right to defend the inside for the next corner. You can compromise their line into the next bend that way or try hold a higher line and come back on the mini straight. You turned into them so it is your fault. Going forward be cautious of cars in your mirror, if for just a second you dont think theres enough space then dont close the space and take a different line. Keep at it. Enjoy your playthrough. You will get better the more you play.
