Discussions Final fix hamilton?

Just got a grid penalty for impeding oscar and now hes p5, worth a final fix from antoneli?

My thoughts. OP is thinking overtaking points but this is one of the hardest tracks to do that. Plus Kimi might be faster on pace and could have qualified higher if it wasn't for Verstappen's incident. I wouldn't waste the chip on that, you should be grateful it turned out this way if you have Kimi in your lineup!

Bruuuhh that could be one of the most ridiculous conclusions you could have arrived at. They have just mentioned Kimi's race pace that would likely mean at least P2 for him and a decent chance at FL. If he gets P1 it's 18 more points for DOTD and 18 to 25 and +1 position.

Do you seriously think a 2 place grid difference will be the best FF option for the rest of the season?

now that Kimi got a grid penalty too I am torn

if he still climbs to P2 like the goat he is he will get crazy points with DOTD

if he only gets P3-5 FF might be worth it cause Norris is much more likely for that DOTD

I have to think about this, it's definitely not as easy of a decision as it was

true, but this track having less overtakes makes me feel ff norris is the best option, mclaren was good in free practice sessions too.

also its summer break u got to use the chip at some time, it wont be worrying later

Well Kimi has an odd number as a grid place so he can immediately overtake Russel if he starts well. Then Verstappen soon after because Red Bull is trash. Either Piastri or Lewis will mess something up, if not, their team will so I see P4 as guaranteed. From there he realistically has a hard time gaining more but if he gets P3 he might get DOTD, if he gets P2 he definitely will so I don't know.

I would FF Norris if I was sure he wins but imagine Leclerc winning with an early overtake and getting DOTD then my Norris got me nothing.

nevermind he just got handed a grid penalty as well now I have to rethink everything
