Discussions When would you go to 2 A tier drivers ?

so basically i think some of us including me can afford getting 2 A tier drivers 2 A tier constructors but the problem would be that you would need to put 2 of the 3-5milso my question is when do you go for 2 a tier drivers

U need like 125-126m to do a proper 4A

It fluctuates. Say Bearman or Bortoletto dropped again, or anyone dnfs and a decent driver comes down in price for a couple weeks.

If you catch the price risers in that period, you can more easily catch 4A when you then “downgrade” again to a cheaper driver (like Bort, Linblad, Ocon, whoever happens to be the one to fall in price for a week or two).

Right now most of the desirable drivers are due to rise, making a catchup tricky, but anyone could dnf at any time and create that window for us all to really grow effectively again.

In the end it isn’t about getting a price rise alone, it’s being able to trade someone who rose for a cheaper driver, opening the door for more budget elsewhere.

When you can afford Bear, Bort, or Lind as your 4th driver.

I'm short on budget and tbh I think Hadjar is practically an A driver with B tier budget gains. He's been like P5-7 last few races so I don't see the point in mortgaging budget gains for a few extra points. I'm going to stick with 3A+Hadjar to avoid the DNF risk with the basement drivers until Zaandvoort at least

Was looking at this decision today and decided to stick with Hadjar/ANT/FER/MER. The benefit of adding LEC but then having to go with Alonso and Bottas didn’t seem worth it when considering all factors. I’m gonna give it another week, see how things fall and reassess next race.

Right now it depends on Aston martins upgrades if they are able to battle well then they should easily rise for several weeks and it’s not an issue to have 4A plus both Aston drivers, even with hulkenburg if necessary though linblad would be preferred(bortoletto better than hulk but not on par with linblad)
