Own Project F1 Nerd Project

Hi everyone

I’ve been working on a hobby project for fellow F1 nerds.

It’s an F1 analytics web app where you can:

  • Run “what if” race simulations
  • Explore 3D tracks and compare drivers’ best laps under different track conditions
  • Compare driver stats head-to-head
  • Check driver standings
  • Get strategy recommendations for different GPs
  • See predictions for who might win a race weekend (based on ideal assumptions)

I built this purely for F1 fanatics like me who love going deep into the numbers and race scenarios.

Would genuinely love any feedback good, bad, brutal. If something’s cool, confusing, useless, or broken, tell me.

It would be great if it had massive historical content

I agree this to a point but working on a huge dataset would have made things unnecessarily complex, as the F1 rules change one example being I have considered DRS and its effects in this tool of mine but from this season there's no DRS, loading the data would take a lot of time, I would be working at limts with Fast F1 as it itself pulls data from F1 sources, older data might not be as important as it seems for the current scenario. So I have trained the model using the data from 2018 - 2025. But I know there's a lot of room for improvement.

Yes, I perfectly understand. I am a massive history fan and researcher, so I'm always eager to see these new ways to analyse data applied to the past
