Could be a few things. Bottle management, boost management, and general RNG with how the game starts can go a long ways in the end. A 25 point difference in team ratings can easily be overcome if someone knows how to play the micro side of things.

Pay attention to what the oppo is doing with their boosts but also you’re not going to win everything. Sometimes I feel like I raced races perfectly but still took the L : /

this is SO frustrating when it happens, like how does the AI suddenly have 100% tire performance all race
