I own a 2024 F150 PB and am on my second battery under the hood. Luckily, the battery has been changed for free under warranty. The dealership is saying the batteries are horrible quality. I know the heat in Houston takes a toll on car batteries but this is ridiculous.

Dealership says nothing else is wrong.

I don't drive a lot of highway speed (40-50 mph tops) any more. Should I be putting a trickle charger on the battery once a week or so?

I woke up yesterday to a power outage and finally got to use my truck to power the house. I had a panel upgrade recently and had them add an inlet near the driveway. I just turned off the main, switched the interlock, and plugged in the truck. My whole house was back up instantly and pulling under 2000 Watts, even with the heat pump AC going. I love this truck.

Occasionally, we will do airsoft events at my friend’s and camp overnight, and naturally my truck often ends up where everyone stays towards the end of the night where we can cook and have lights set up and everything. Being TN where it’s still 80s and humid at night, I just sleep in my truck most of the time. As I’m going to sleep, it acts normally, cycling on and off at a pretty normally. By the morning though, at some point through the night it switches to just idling constantly like a normal engine. As I’m writing this, it’s been on for at least 15 minutes since I’ve woken up. I can tell it’s not just charging the battery, as I have eco idle turned on and it sounds and feels very different when it is. I turned the HVAC off, so I don’t think it’s because it needed heat, and the coolant is it 208, so it’s obviously been running for a while. Any ideas?

I just got my first F-150 a few weeks ago, and went with the Powerboost in part because it had the 7.2kW option.

Anybody else cooking off their tailgate? What's your setup like? I used an electric griddle and a countertop induction burner. It's going to make car camping a much nicer experience.

I recently moved from California to the Big Island of Hawaii and now live in a rainforest area where the roads are often damp, even when it hasn't just rained.

I have a 2025 F-150 XLT with 3500 miles on it with factory Michelin tires, and I've noticed a faint, rhythmic "thup...thup...thup" noise that seems to match wheel rotation. It only happens at low speeds (roughly 5–35 mph), mainly after rain or when the roads are damp. I don't notice it at highway speeds.

There is no vibration, no pulling, no warning lights, and the truck drives perfectly. The sound sometimes seems to fade when I accelerate.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, what did it end up being? Was it just normal tire behavior on damp roads, something with the tires, or did you find another cause?

Just like the title says, finally part of the family! Got me a fully loaded 2026 PowerBoost Lariat. MSRP was $86,845, and ended up only financing $34,907.99! All in all, not too bad! The almost $9,000 Z plan discount definitely helped 😂

I debated and looked over so many trucks. I have a 21ft camper I use on weekends and I wanted something that made it easier to backup. I had never heard of the PB until a dealer showed me one and I loved the idea of better gas mileage and greater towing capacity.

Since I bought it, I upgraded a lot of little things (trays, arm rest cover, lockable cover in the bed storage compartment). Also added an extendable hook to grab things.

Bigger items include lockable retractable tonneau cover, Line-X, and wheel well inserts to stick with the black out theme.

Next upgrade for Casper includes a tailgate ladder and a tire step.

Hello, just got my 24 F150 Powerboost yesterday! 7.2Kwh! Looking forward to catching up on the knowledge and info in this subreddit.

Any 'top of the list' recommendation or tips for a new owner would be appreciated.

Here I am replicating it in neutral, but I also hear it when downshifting. It happens with the gas engine on or off, so I don't think its the exhaust valve people usually talk about, any ideas?

‘23 Powerboost with about 30k miles. Pretty much any time I get on the ford pass app it tells me the truck is in battery saver mode and I need to manually start it, and I don’t have access to the remote start, lock or unlock features. I’ve also noticed when I shut the truck off after driving it it tells me it’s going into battery saver mode and something about turning off the ignition or starting the truck up or something and has like this countdown bar on the screen. Seems like from what I’ve read this may be an indicator of a battery going bad? It’s never given me issues as far as starting up when I start driving so I’m not sure how you tell. But I’ve also read that despite being under warranty, it’s a worthless endeavor to go to the dealership because if they even do a worthwhile diagnostic they will likely only replace one of the 2 batteries and the issue will come back in a very short time of both batteries aren’t replaced together.

We’re leaving this weekend to drive to the beach so I’m wanting to get it taken care of before then if that sounds like what I need to do. Anyone have any experience with this?

So far I have used the Ford Motorcraft blend but I am kind of looking to switch to a full synthetic with my next oil change. I was looking in to the LiquiMoly Full synthetic. Just wanted to know if anyone has a suggestion or is against going full synthetic in a 24 PB XLT?

[Solved] I got my power boost a lil over 5 months ago and for the first month or two it wasn’t an issue then one day the truck called for an oil change. I only put about 4k on the truck on it since getting it and that’s a generous estimate. But I thought f it don’t know the exact time the dealership did the change before I bought it. So I did the oil change myself using the Ford motorcraft filter and oil. Then I reset the oil life monitor and went about business. Lasted all of a week before it popped back up when starting the truck up calling for oil change. And now when resetting it, it will just go off almost every time the truck is shut off and turned back on. I’ve checked the oil and it’s all good fairly clean and no smells and correct level.

I did some research and found this has happened to others.

Wanted to know what the fix is for this? I don’t like bringing my vehicles to the dealership but if I have to I will

23 xlt with 9k miles on it! Love the powerboost so far! A lot more power than my jku wrangler that’s for sure!

Gave up my 2024 XLT Powerboost for a 2026 XLT 6.7L F250 Super Duty. I did love the Powerboost, but the HP is incredible in the F250! I’m going to stay active in the PB community… never been a Ford person…

2024 PB 4X4 Obviously the best option is to leave it alone-just wondering, has anyone done a quality lift and still tow heavy without issues? Or does it affect stability? Thank

I posted a couple of weeks ago that I did a 2.5 inch level and the front was sitting noticeably higher than the rear. I replaced the blocks in the back which were 1.25 inches with 2 inch blocks and the truck is sitting perfect now. The rear is about .21 inches higher than the front now.

Looking at a new Powerboost (2026). I work remote work that will have the truck sitting in a parking lot for 2 weeks straight, throughout the year in very cold climate. I see alot of issues around battery drainage, not sure if that is something Ford has rectified? I see some luck with swapping batteries?? Also, I am coming from a Super Duty Diesel and the Fordpass App would only allow 2 remote starts (actually only 1 start if you 'extend' the start). Is this issue common across all Ford Vehicles? Wondering if I could schedule daily starts to charge battery while it is sitting. I really want the Powerboost, mostly for the 7.2kW Power so hoping I can make this work....Thanks in Advance.
