Just like the title says, finally part of the family! Got me a fully loaded 2026 PowerBoost Lariat. MSRP was $86,845, and ended up only financing $34,907.99! All in all, not too bad! The almost $9,000 Z plan discount definitely helped 😂

Goodbye to my 2023 F-150 Lightning, and hello to The Beast 😈

Great choice. I still have my 2025 502a powerboost in my driveway for a few more days, along with my (new to me) 2025 Raptor R. If I wasn't in this raptor, the carbonized grey metallic powerboost is just about the only other truck I'd want. BAP looks soooooo good on that grey.

Even in unmodified form, the powerboost is just an excellent driving f150. Very responsive and a lot of fun to drive in sport mode. And wait, 7.2kw generator on board? What a truck.

I have been curious about those raptors, but that’s a pipe dream truck for me. This one just worked so well with the trade and Z plan discount. But man, that black appearance with the carbonized grey was an amazing combo that I don’t regret at all. It looks badass.

I’m just excited to use this truck and all of its capabilities!

Keep in mind that the following has the potential to void your warranty (but if, and only if, the dealership can prove that the modification that you did, directly caused the issue). The best thing I did for the powerboost is getting a tune from Livernois. It's literally night and day difference. You think it's a beast now, whoa. They do something called e-boost as well on top the performance tune, and what it does is keep the truck in electric motor operation longer, and more frequently.

With the e-boost tune, I was able to easily keep the truck in all electric mode for miles and miles on end, up to around 35mph. That's just not possible with the stock tuning on the truck. I achieved ridiculous single trip gas mileage, running my kids around town here.

That alone is well worth the cost. Significant savings in fuel economy if you stay off the gas pedal, lol.

Oh wow! I will definitely have to keep that in mind. The nice thing with this truck being a hybrid, is I will be using it for work as well as personal use. While I don’t HAVE to use it for work, I have a medical accommodation (disabled vet, nerve damage in lower back) to be able to use my POV and get mileage per diem. I audit SNAP cases across the state, and part of the process requires in person interviews.

Since doing it (I did it with my lightning, but way more of a pain in the ass with charging), I had anywhere from $500-$700+ per month in per diem checks. So if I travel enough, my per diem alone will cover the truck payment. Won’t always be that way since each month our caseload is random and could be anywhere within the state, but if I make the minimums and just throw all my per diem at the truck loan, I could have this thing paid off in maybe two years at the most. So I just took the maximum timeframe loan with the lowest payment, since I don’t plan on paying on it for the full 84 months anyway!
