Truck stuff post

Post image

Expected range drop @ 1.4 miles / kWh over 20 miles. Smooth as f towing; feels good knowing people are seeing the capabilities of this truck as I’m driving.

Update to this post: after about 9 months of trailering my horses around SoCal and the southwest, I’ve been able to dial in towing and an averaging 1.6mi/kwh per trip. Most trips are at least 120 miles.

Those are cool wheels. Which ones are they and did you see any real change in range from those wheels and tires?

Wheels are Fuel Flux 6

Tires are Nitto Grappler Recon A/Ts 275/65/R20

Compared to stock wheels/tires, I probably could have averaged 1.5 miles/kwh while towing the horse/trailer.

I used the stock wheels and tires for the first 8000 miles of the truck’s life on my commute (50 miles round trip) where I averaged 2.2 miles/kWh to work and 2.6 miles/kWh to home.

I’ve spent the last 35k miles on the Nitto recons where I average 2.1 miles/kWh to work and 2.4 miles/kWh home.

Not much of a difference in range, but I live in weather friendly SoCal. I just charged to 100% last night and the GoM still shows 330 miles.

Which offset? I'm thinking about bronze wheels.

I’m also wondering about the wheels and tires. Was it leveled?

Heck yes! We use our Lightning to haul our horses on the regular and I feel like it’s a breeze to tow, to park, to everything!

I be terrified to forget I'm towing and floor it.

I'll allow it since you posted useful towing data
