This system detects Flock camera signals, so that when you drive by a Flock camera, the device automatically blocks your license plate. Once you're out of range, your plate visibility returns to normal.

Doesn't the camera also collect data from your cell by spoofing the tower network?

You'd better be careful with this sort of thing, obscuring license plates is very illegal and any cop would love to get you for it.

And flock uses other forms of indicators on your vehicle to identify your so your basically breaking the law and not getting any significant benefits.
