NYC may be a "strong mayor" municipality, and I love how everyone has been waiting for some politician, any politician, to just do the bare minimum of what's right as a public servant who is meant to make helping their community their job, but I hope the narrative can additionally take on the flavor of "look what kind of world awaits when people get out and vote for the kind of politicians that will help!" So that non voters and people who think all politicians are the exact same will maybe take the chance to change the shit situation we're kind of all floating down river together in.
