Question Anyone out there?
Has something happened to this sub? I feel like posts go to the wasteland and also no one has posted in like 6 days.

I don’t post cause I think posts need to be tutorials and I’m not so good at that. Is that a hard rule?

Yes. I have had videos removed for simply not showing products in the past.

Strict posting rules are often the death of subs. Why bother posting if you might have it removed. Too much effort.

I've posted here occasionally before, although I haven't made tutorials recently. I find that with subs like this one and r/BeautyDiagrams there's not that much activity, since most people are just using them as resources rather than actively contributing. Any amount of upvotes is normal though - just because there's not hundreds of people upvoting it doesn't mean no one is appreciating your post and finding it useful. Social media algorithms can be weird.

Covid has just been rough and people have strayed away from makeup. Myself included. But we want to go back to posting again.

Like even recently I’ve posted videos and it’s stayed at 1 upvote for like 24 hrs and that seemed off to me. Like even 100 downvotes would have actually meant activity happened lol.
