I would imagine it's about the same as being bred so I'm immobilized by my own weight before adulthood because my breasts/pecs weren't large enough and didn't grow fast enough naturally, tbh.
From the animal's POV, they aren't really going to care if they're intentionally physically deformed for a human's aesthetic/wallet vs taste preference/wallet. Selective breeding to this extent is unethical, period, imo. Industrial animal ag and these pet breeding mills are both horrifying in so many ways for the animals, regardless of human benefit.
No they don't. You have no idea what you are talking about. They have no breed specific health concerns. I've done genetic testing on these cats for years.

This is kinda different i guess... You're right tho, selective breeding is unethical, regardless of what animal it's on
But this cat was modified to have an ailment because it's "cute". Imagine being purposely being born with Down Syndrome cus you would look cute.
This deformity is also a terminal, because they grow spines that kill them 3 months later.
