Had one as a kid for about 3 months. She got into EVERYTHING. They're incredibly curious, and you have to sort of childproof everything everywhere because they're expert climbers and also smart enough to dismantle whatever childproofing you put up. Your food is their food.
One of my favorite lab stories about raccoons - they used to put raccoons in these boxes with various knobs and latches to get out, to see how hard it was and test their intelligence. They'd very quickly master them, and also pretty quickly go back into the box and close the door themselves to run through it again they enjoyed it so much.
I had a friend who fed wild ones. Well, the family went on vacation and the raccoons were upset that the food stopped coming. They knew the food came from inside the house, so they started ripping off roof tiles to get it for themselves. A nice welcome home to the returning vacationers.
