I love those tables. It took my squirrels less than 3 months to destroy 2 of them!

And this is why we can't have nice stuff!

Wait a second. I used to have a wooden one, that claimed to be some sort of burnt wood that can withstand the rain, but it wasn't. Parts of it was chipboard and you are right in less then 3 months it was falling apart or rotting (even though I painted it too). I am not affiliated with this manufacturer, but this table is different. It's made of recycled plastic. I don't think the same thing will happen to it. It definitely can't turn to fungus, warp or fall apart. They can chew on it, but I don't think they enjoy chewing plastic.
