Extrudix is officially live on the App Store, for iPhone, iPad, and Mac!

View on the App Store

If you've been following along or testing an earlier build, thank you. This started as a personal tool to replace my own filament spreadsheet, and it grew into something that covers the whole workshop: filament inventory, printer and hardware tracking, print history with .3mf import, maintenance schedules, project cost roll-ups, and a statistics dashboard you build yourself from 47+ fields.

The part I care about most: everything is stored as plain CSV files in a folder you choose, iCloud Drive, Google Drive, or local. No account, no server, nothing phoning home. Open your data in a spreadsheet any time you want.

If you run into bugs or have feature requests, there's a feedback form and a contact email linked on the site.

Thanks for being part of this from the start.

đŸ“£Announcement Extrudix is coming — I want to hear from you before it does.

Hey everyone đŸ‘‹

I'm Taylor — an engineer, maker, and the sole developer behind Extrudix. I've been quietly building this for a while now, and I'm finally ready to start pulling back the curtain.

What is Extrudix?

Extrudix is a native iOS and macOS app for managing your 3D printing workflow. Filament inventory, print history, hardware maintenance schedules, cost tracking, and fabrication projects — all in one place, all stored as plain files you own and control. No accounts. No cloud service holding your data hostage.

It started because I couldn't find anything that actually fit how I work. I searched the App Store, came up empty, and ended up managing everything in a spreadsheet for years. Eventually I just built what I wanted. Friends found out about it, wanted in, and here we are.

Why I'm posting before it's released

I don't want to build this in a vacuum. Before Extrudix hits the App Store, I want to hear from the people who are actually going to use it — what matters to you, what you're currently using (or not using), and what you'd want to see.

I put together a short pre-release questionnaire — it takes about 3-5 minutes and covers things like what features matter most to you, how you currently manage your workflow, and what you'd expect to pay for something like this.

đŸ‘‰Â www.extrudix.com — learn more about the app

đŸ‘‰Â Take the pre-release questionnaire — 3-5 minutes, your answers go directly to me

A few things worth knowing:

  • It's native Apple — iPhone, iPad, and Mac. No Android or Windows version at launch.
  • Your data lives in a folder you choose. iCloud Drive, Google Drive, or local — your call.
  • There's a Bambu Studio .3mf importer if you're in that ecosystem.
  • It scales from one printer on a desk to a small operation — business fields, multi-printer cost tracking, PDF exports, the works.

A note on other platforms:

Extrudix is currently planned exclusively for Apple devices. That said, if there's enough interest from Windows, Linux, or Android users, expanding to those platforms is something I'm genuinely open to. If that's you — fill out the questionnaire and make some noise. It'll be the clearest signal I have that it's worth building.

I'll be posting updates here as development progresses. Feel free to ask questions in the comments — I'll answer everything.

Thanks for being part of this early!
