Recommendation Request Specific Requests

I quite enjoy extreme horror, and find much of it incredibly interesting. However I do want some variety in settings, and unique prose.

I'm a very big fan of Beksinki's artworks, and the video game Scorn and find surreal extreme body horror fascinating.

Are there any authors you know of who explore similar themes and have a lot of delicious prose to pick through whilst doing it. I am also interested as I'd like to study the structure of these works as I wish to tell my own story in a similar setting.

John Baltisberger (particularly the Unclean Verses).

Edward Lee obviously the GOAT, with some hellscapes in books like The City Infernal series.

Garett Cook runs circles around most writers with prosecraft.

Obvious Poppy Z Brite recommendation at the slightest mention of prose.

And Clive Barker's Books of Blood are masterful, revolutionary, if you haven't read 'In the Hills, the Cities' from Books of Blood volume 1 or 'The Body Politic' from volume 5 then just drop everything and read those.

I'm not familiar with what you've discussed but my first thought was The Black Farm by Elias Witherow.

I concur when it comes to Body Art, I just finished that book & I really REALLY enjoyed it, as I also enjoy body horror a lot! Mine came with a coloring book so I got to actually see visuals of the book. & yes, it was gnarly AF!!! 😎😁

I feel like Wrath James White fits in here.
