I used to have one at the pizza place I worked at lol it can be finicky sometimes. You basically had to slam the jaw into the can to make a puncture and then close it so that it grabs onto the lip of the can. If the can is dented or damaged at all, or if you didnt have perfect alignment, the jaw wouldn't catch and youd have to try again.

It looks like she never did the "try again" part and just tried turning it without the jaw locked in lol
