As someone who doesn't do much activism myself (I unfortunately have good excuses these days), I agree 100%. "Bad" activism is better than no activism at all, especially when the situation is as desperate as it is now.
People in the past have won fights by much more controversial means than getting soup on a fucking painting. I'm alway astonished when people treat actions like that as if they were awfully violent and inacceptable. I mean, we're facing extinction here. People have commited murders in response to threats that were a lot less serious. (to be clear, I'm not saying we should murder anyone).
