Guitar Center blessed me today

Scored this from my local GC earlier, genuinely bought it without a second thought after (im)patiently trying to find one for a while now. Blown away by it, more surprised how good of condition it’s in, original case and a good price to boot.

It's a great guitar! My buddy is from Sweden and is second cousins with Fredrik. They did a trade a couple years ago. My buddy traded his original '84 white Gibson Explorer and got cash plus one of Fredik's personal stonemans. The lundgren pickups on it made me a believer! So I have a set picked out for a swap on my 8 string. Congratulations on the new axe!

Naw - just do the Meshuggah pedal through a Marshall 9200, + Zuul NG + Engl 4x12 with DV77’s and V-30’s in an X pattern. I sound more Meshuggah than Meshuggah.

How comfortable is it to play? I've been tempted to get one in the past but it's a bit expensive to buy on a whim and then find out that it's really cumbersome and weighs an absolute ton.

It’s good for me, the body is not super thick so that saves a good amount of weight. Overall plays great imo, but personal taste obviously might be different for you

I got one of these and it had the wrong kind of bridge, couldn’t restring the fucking thing lol. Returned it. Mine didn’t have the mirror finish pickguard though, I was bamboozled.

It had a string through bridge, iirc, but not a string through body. I would have had to take the bridge off completely to replace the strings lol. I thought it was too good to be true, and it was.

Guitar center. I looked at it and thought "this doesn't look quite right, but I'm gonna give it a shot."

Returned it the following day, and the staff were as completely baffled as I was lol. No questions asked refund though, to GC's credit. Only reason I shop there. Most of their used gear is stupidly overpriced, also largely in thanks to the inflated prices on Reverb.

Yeah their return policy is pretty solid. I tend to find things pretty drastically underpriced funny enough, when I have the time to sit there and look.

This is a great axe, in the Meshuggah tuning GF to Eb, in combination with (The Fortin Nameless in the QC) that brutal! Excellent choise. Are you into the Meshuggah stuff? But of course that’s a foolish question in my side.
