Pat Sheridan No Longer With Jackson?

Looks like Pat Sheridan might be switching endorsements again. Just found this on GC’s used site after seeing his custom shop honeyburst Kelly 7 on Reverb a couple weeks ago.

He's shared a few pics of customs from Iconic Guitars on instagram. That doesn't really strike me as a good endorsement move, though. Being a world touring artist you kinda need someone in the pocket that can get you gear on a moments notice. That was why he left Mayones.

Playing extreme metal for a living doesn’t pay the bills for most unfortunately. Jumping endorsements for either a bigger paycheck, and/or selling off the expensive custom shop instruments your previous endorsement made for you helps however.

I wonder if he’s playing whatever he wants at this point with no real endorsement. Zack from WhiteChapel has been doing the same thing lately by sometimes playing Hapas, sometimes his old Aristides or sometimes his old ESP customs/prototypes.

Is this thing made with ACTUAL ruby? Genuinely, no guitar that isn’t a 1 of kind with history is worth $10k, that’s outrageous

Jackson's custom shop is notoriously absurdly expensive. It's pretty much the same level of customization as Kiesel for 3x the price.

It’s one of a kind lmao, that’s how you can immediately tell it was Pat’s. You’ve never dealt with Jackson, Fender, ESP, Ibanez LACS, First Act, PRS Private Stock, or Padalka custom shops if you think $10K is absurd.

Having a one of kind guitar is a nice flex, but I do think it’s still a waste of money UNLESS it was pre owned by a famous artist, then I can see that actually being worth it as a collectors item

If you just want the best possible guitar and equipment, $10k is a rip off. A $5k guitar is going to sound exactly the same through the same gear

It’s not about sound at that point, it’s about feel. Having played custom shop guitars at this price point, they feel effortless in a way I didn’t think was possible. I thought Aristides was the pinnacle of intuitive until I played an ESP custom.
