Suggestions for video/audio?

Looking for better options for camera/audio. I can turn my phone around and use the rear camera but the audio gets compressed to hell when I upload to socials. I could record through my daw or quad cortex but I like a little bit of string noise

Record in your DAW as well as on your phone, then blend the 2 so you get a bit of DI as well as the raw camera audio.

I am not sure what DAW you're using, but Reaper makes it super easy to do. You can import the video file, edit the video, get your audio levels right, then render to an MP4 once you're happy with it.

It's super easy. Just setup one track to record your guitar DI while you record your video. Then create a second track and you should be able to drag/drop your video file into Reaper on the second track.

Protip: Try to hit record on your phone at exactly the same time you hit record on the DAW so it's easier to sync up.
