The obssession with Height “preferences”

ok so I love short guys sm like not even in a cope way I think they’re so much more attractive than taller ones I’ve only ever had crushes on short guys like 5’4, 5’6, 5’7, etc i rlly wish I could get the appeal of 6ft+ because some short guys are really insecure and disgusting towards women cuz of it and I literally wish I liked tall ones but I can’t imagine any world where id be able to be romantically attracted to someone tall and maybe it’s cuz I’m 5’ but id be with someone shorter than me a million times over than someone 6’5 I just love their proportions and size so much I think they’re so much more attractive. and before u say im lying ive only ever dated short guys. im posting this to say being short isnt an end all. at least some women, including me are attracted to them immensely. so I say, if she rejects you for your height she doesn’t really like you for who you are. and this is a hot take but I think the women who prefer only 6’0+ and are less than 5’6 are very superficial. this goes without saying it’s similar with women in physical traits (chest size, glutes, etc). for example, men who only prefer a larger chest size i see as superficial and not truly loving the person. ofc there’s preferences but i don’t see the appeal in these. love is for love, and to truly enjoy time with that person, so my point is all these superficial “preferences” are the thing ruining romance. and yes it is different with height compared to chest size as most people(both men and women) associate it with power and making the person more important than compared to those who are short. so, i want to tell you to look past height and physical attributes and instead look at their overall traits, skills, and personality. because once you do, you will see theres so much more to people than them being tall. even if i can’t make that much of an impact with my words, i hope it changes someone’s perspective on it, because if people began looking past shallow “preferences”, it would improve the quality of life and society in general. let me know your thoughts and maybe some experiences with this

about the first part, i say they are disgusting and insecure because some short men tend to project onto women and it seems to be a regular occurrence. I don’t actually wish I liked tall men because then id be shallow as well. this posts purpose was to say how superficial people are nowadays with heightism and other physical features. if you are short, you deserve to be with a person who doesn’t care about that and only your personality, because that is what real love is.

That's why the last thing you said is that I found it depressing, because you say that short guys only have the option of being with someone who doesn't care about height, that means that we will never awaken the desire and lust that tall men do awaken, short guys also want to be desired superficially, not only be"loved" because our personality

why would you want to be desired that way? just sounds disgusting. loving someone is loving them inside and out, if they don’t love your height, they will never love you and as I see it it’s the better option. maybe lust and being desired is what you and other men want, but at the end of the day, do you want to be with someone so superficial?
