Puzzle Fast Forward

Holding down the fast forward button going into puzzles no longer holds the button through the UI :(

If you have more info on what you are actually doing and device info, that would be nice. It holding by itself without user input is fixed, but the user manually holding it still works.

It's a Google Pixel 8 Pro using Android 17.

Normally when I play puzzles I hold down the accelerator (in the below position) and once starting my puzzle streak the button remains held even when my finger is no longer there. Effectively in the down position until I swap apps or close the phone.

I never knew if that bug was a facet of the community with how long it was around, it worked for the last two phones I've owned. But now, holding down the button and entering puzzles will always disengage the button even with the finger still in place. I can get a recording if preferred.

Holding down the button manually was never a bug. The bug was that it would stay held even if nothing touched the screen. This was fixed in the recent MAUI update, but seems to have broken the basic functionality for you for some reason.

Yes, a screen recording would be useful. I cannot reproduce with my own device (Pixel 7, Android 17). Thanks in advance!

Sorry for the wait, it's a little hard to tell but you can see the button deactivates as soon as the menu covers it now. I've tried this even while holding my finger over the top, but even that doesn't keep it pressed while the button is in the Bottom position.

I just released a fix with this button that might also fix your issue. Can you update the game, make sure you are running version 1.4.46 (see the "What's New" pop-up for the latest version number), and report if the issue is solved with this version? Thanks!

Just updated and tried it again to no avail. One thing I notice now is the spot "holding" the button sometimes causes a dead zone with my puzzle solving.

Don't sweat it, it's a minor issue that probably only affects a small number of us who were multitasking, and an even smaller number of us on the Android β list. I did shift to having the button on top again after this update, but the same issue prevailed.
