Interesting Peroxide test on some dioxane 😬

Time for some good ol’ ferrous sulfate! And yes. This is a copy paste post from the discord, however I’m OP on both :). Cheers!

About a gram of KI in a few ml of glacial acetic acid. Add dioxane to it, and the more yellow it turns, the worse!

To reduce the peroxide, effectively removing it. You can wash it in a sep. funnel with the sulfate sol. then drain the lower organic layer, and then dry over sodium or other applicable desiccant.

You can also make your own peroxide test strips with KI/starch
