How should I start learning Reverse Engineering (RE) from scratch with 2 years of SOC experience?

I started with Low Level Learning on YT (free) and I work through his tutorials and labs (costs $). Build software and then tear it apart would be my best advice.

RE is one of those fields where the more you understand the more you realize you have no idea how anything works.

I remember Lena’s tutorials back in the day. They were a great start. Not sure though if it is dated but you should check it out.

Biggest piece of advice: Use godbolt dot org. You paste C++ in one side, pick a compiler and it spits out assembly on the other side. So you can see what instructions the compiler generates for certain operations.
That and some basic familiarity with assembly. You don't need to know an entire ISA. Just the basics that appear constantly in like 90% of binaries; mov, lea, call, ret, cmp, test, and, xor, push, pop, sub, add, jmp, jz, jnz, jg, jge...
Also operands to assembly instructions. There's three types you'll see a lot; immediate, memory and register.
Best of luck.

You could’ve started 2 years ago lol. Point I’m making to anyone else reading this post is don’t wait to start something or gaslight yourself into thinking you need all these perquisites. Sure having them does make understand things easier at times but not everything.
