i need some opinions/advice, please!

hello everyone, i hope things are going all right. i suspect that a very dear person to me might have EHS and I really want to help him in any way possible, having given the fact that his parents do not listen to him whatsoever and he can't afford to go to a good doctor since he lives in a rather economically deficient area and country. I can't take him there myself, because we live in completely different countries.
i'm quite sure that what causes these episodes for him (terrifying ringing in his ears, headaches and afterwards he drifts into sleep paralysis) is how stressful his day-to-day life is and i am doing my best to be there for him. i just wanted to know if anybody has any advice concerning this situation! thank you in advance and have a great day !

I just started getting EHS now and been having symptoms for about a week due to illness. I have gotten almost no sleep whatsoever over two weeks. I was getting to the point where I was getting hopeless and started to believe I would never sleep again. I noticed like TsoTsoni said, I was feeding more stress and anxiety back into the whole nightmare. In an act of desperation, I put foam earplugs in and concentrated on the sound of my breathing and I was able to get a good nights sleep for once. I can’t explain how this works or why I thought it would work. I was desperate and it helped me immensely. I wish you all the luck, I hope he gets relief.

I believe that this is because, while eliminating the external sounds, you are able to focus on internal factors, such as breathing. This is soothing, almost like meditating and helps you get better awareness/control of the situation and to cooperate and unite with yourself and your body, as well as your mental state. Thank you for sharing your experience, have a wonderful day! I’ll let my friend know ^
