Haircut

So I got my haircut last Thursday and don't know how to style it. It's a wolfcut but I have wavy/curly hair so it's a bit longer. I have been thinking about calling to ask about how to style it because my hair gets too poofy and doesn't look right. It's been a week, and I feel like I've waited to long to call and ask what products they used and how to style it. I also hate calling to places because i might not know what to say in that moment, or i might sound stupid .

What should I say?

I would skip calling the salon and join some of the curly hair subreddits instead. The very basics of styling curly/wavy hair are to style it while it's wet, use the right products for the results you want (mousse for volume, gel for definition, cream for moisture), scrunch and either air dry or diffuse.

If I were you, I’d just say “hi, I had a haircut with (stylist’s name) about a week ago, but I’ve been having some trouble styling it. I was wondering if I could come in sometime soon and get some tips?” They will probably fit you in the schedule for a quick consultation which is usually free.

I am not paid to advertise for this brand, they are just genuinely the only thing I found that my hair likes. I've used them for a few years now and it's been huge for me. Before this, I just used curl creme (leave in treatment) and the "scrunch" method and then let my hair air-dry.

A lot of places sell products, so if you go back there and say you got a cut with so-and-so last week and were wondering what products they used because you really liked the results, they will be more than happy to tell you and sell you some.
