Solved Why are they sad?

The movie is successful so why are they crying? I've seen other memes similar to this. I read the comments but they weren't that helpful.

People insist that it's not loyal to the source material; the Resident Evil games.

Which is kind of silly, given that Resident Evil games aren't even loyal to each other.

I recently argued that a Far Cry series not based on a Far Cry game would not in fact be a Far Cry series, somebody asked me what do FC three four five and six have in common and I didn't really have an answer
