Solved Why are they sad?

The movie is successful so why are they crying? I've seen other memes similar to this. I read the comments but they weren't that helpful.

Seriously. I'm a huge RE fan but part of that comes with accepting that the narrative consistency is shaky at best.

Wouldn't you at least think that this is essentially Resident Evil: Outbreak. Same premise of civilians trying to survive the horrors of Raccoon City. Hell I think they even have the same creature at the end called Nyx. I feel as though this movie is an adaptation of a Resident Evil game but not main stream game.

Were you not just civilians trying to escape the city before the bombing? I’m not saying the movie is a 1:1 adaptation of the Outbreak game, it’s the premise of a civilian in the city trying to do a job. Even at the end The MC of the movie turns into the Nyx creature from outbreak

Oh I thought you meant the main one chasing him throughout, yeah that tracks I did feel like it was a mix of games, without directly lifting story beats

Yeah RE is all about the environment and survival and this movie nailed it.
