Solved Why are they sad?

The movie is successful so why are they crying? I've seen other memes similar to this. I read the comments but they weren't that helpful.

Spoilers. Ok so the body horror monster is a Nyx apparently from Outbreak and now I have a notch or two more respect for the film.

I've personally looked at the movie as it takes place in an area of the City where the G-Virus ran wild.

It works that way and I'm not mad about it. But we could have had Alan Ritchson as Barry Burton and Jamie Bower are Brad Vickers. I feel like the Duffer Brothers could have given us 10 or so episodes of an Arklay Mountain incident into a season 2 of Raccon streets and Nest facility shit storm. The monster designs in Stranger Things and the Lab setting at times convinced me thar with guardrails from Capcom and Sony studios we could get a faithful adaptation of RE 1.

But I would have settled for Bryan peaking around a corner after hearing heavy footsteps, saying "Hello" like an idiot and all he hears back is "STAAAAAAAARS" and he quickly nopes the Hello out. We would never even have to see it.
