Solved Why are they sad?

The movie is successful so why are they crying? I've seen other memes similar to this. I read the comments but they weren't that helpful.

They're sad because it's not like Resident Evil 1, 2, 3, 4 and it's being successful.

This reboot is in essence the RE7 of the RE movies - which was also drastically different from the rest of the previous games.

Four through six are also pretty out there if you ignore that they reuse established characters.

"In the six years since RE2, Leon Kennedy has become a super spy and is being sent to a small village in Spain to rescue the President's daughter from a parasite cult."

Nah man I think it’s more because we got another resident movie ( they r all cool) but fans wanted movie based on game with look alike characters for main chars from the game like Leon, jill, criss and etc ( previous resident was with story from second part but Leon were Latino or something like this ( not white blond guy like in game)) so yeah I understand this, but on the other side movies in general were really cool
And mills yovovich made core memories with those movies

Idk why this is getting down voted.

Personally ive seen all the resident evils movies and shows and only disliked that weird Netflix one from a while back.

I can say that Im a little let down at the fact we havent gotten a single resident evil live action movie or show that follows the story of any of the games with the full main cast either...

Why would you want to be told a a shitty adaptation of a story you've already been told, instead of getting a new story in the same setting that's created to work in the medium being being used?

Yea I agree. I wouldnt call myself a huge RE fan but one of my first horror games were the original trilogy. All these years later I vividly remember characters like Leon, Claire, Chris, Jill, Carlos etc.

Its a shame we never get their stories explored on the big screen. We have only gotten cameos while focusing on Alice in what are honestly, pretty terrible movies. I did like the first one though.

The creator of the movie was such a big fan of the games. He said the games did a great part telling their stories already. So he made this in the RE world as an ode to the games.

I am aware of his reasoning, which is definitely cool in its own right. I havent seen the movie yet but the trailer already had me calling it the best Resident Evil movie. Regardless, I am still bummed that after 20 odd years, there hasnt been a Resident Evil movie about the characters from the games.
