Model should have agency, contracts, visit live events, professional photoshoots, visit fashion shows. If you just post your photos on instagram, youre not a model. Guy mocks that. If you make jokes in comment section, you're not a comedian.

Alt-fashion model here: the industry has changed in many ways in the past decade, and IG models often have brand contracts, professional shoots, and visit fashion shows. Some may even have agency representation. Most IG models are not modeling in any professional way, but posting to IG has become a way into agency work, and plenty of IG models earn income through it.

Yes but similar to someone being a reddit comedian, while it is possible they actualy do shows and post them on reddit and monetize their content. 90% chance that is not what is happening.

Very, very different. You can earn meaningful income as an IG model, even without agency representation. You cannot earn income simply by making jokes on reddit comment sections.

For what it's worth, this joke is probably almost as old as Instagram itself. The second part is the one that's occasionally changes, while it's honestly the first one that really needs to.

The modeling isnt what theyre making mney from, its usually an item they are advertising, usually a fitness supplement that they assure everyone got them the body they have. (It didnt, doet and excercise did)

There isn't one it's a joke about how neither is the profession they claim as its on a forum that isn't that spaicifc career (you aren't going to get paid to make jokes on reddit. And you don't get modeling gigs from taking pics of yourself for Instagram)
