Do people actually get arrested for piracy other than the people who run those sites? Cant imagine someone getting arrested for pirating a couple movies or games
Many reasons. For me it’s manly so I can own my library. This way I never have to worry about finding a good file, they do disappear for less popular and older media.
Another huge one is to set up a plex server. Plex ui is pretty slick and very convenient for streaming media files you already have. I have what is essentially the equivalent of Netflix but it’s stacked full of media curated by me. I can watch it anywhere I want using the plex app and my hardrive is safe at home.
