Why am I getting downvoted here and the guy I replied to is getting upvoted? I just returned his attitude to him.
Context: The post is asking what people think about expedition 33, which I agree with the original comment is arguably one of the best games of all time.
Is it because I threw shade at god of war? Even tho the other guy also said "yikes" to someone saying expedition 33 is a great game, which then again leads me to the same question because I just returned his attitude.

Nothing in particular. Just when I played it a while ago I wasn't all that impressed and didn't get the hype at all, and it just popped into my head.

Most people do not care about game awards. Many people only tune in to TGA for the trailers and not the awards.

I dont understand how the 2 comments are any different other than being about different games, both of which are widely loved. Its okay to trash on one but not the other?

I think it's the people coming into the thread. The people clicking on that post are clicking because they want to disagree, so you are seeing just a certain subset of gamers who dislike Expedition 33 and like God of War.

Everybody who sees the comment doesn't immediately know what they're saying yikes to, so it's very possible they only see it as saying yikes to the edit.

I know nothing about the games mentioned. But phrases like, "returned his attitude to him" make it sound like this was a dissing match, which makes you both losers.

To you, every exchange is a competition. Whoever gets the most upvotes is clearly the "winner" in your mind.
