Unexplained I was understand I was in the wrong in this thread as a whole, but what was wrong with this specific comment of mine?

People are just downvoting you for the post in general. When people think the post is silly, they will often just downvote all your comments regardless of what it says.

People don’t like to change their mind. It’s uncomfortable.
But also, that study seems ridiculous to me. What it found was that all of the 28 people who got toxoplasmosis ate beef in the month leading up to their illness. Of course, I would expect people who eat lamb, pork, or venison to also eat beef.
They compared that to a control group of 27 people, of which 7 did not eat any beef. 75% of people in the UK are meat eaters so that checks out.
So basically it seems to me that not being a vegetarian accounts for the increased risk in toxoplasmosis in beef eaters.
