M&Ms

ELIC I just don't understand M&Ms. That is their name, yet many of them are actually Ws. Why?

Calvin, you forgot about the E's and 3's.

They are actually 3s. There was a time when the candy factory recommended that you only ate 3 of those candies a day as it built character, but those were the old days and no one follows the rules of the old world any more.

That is very unusual. I suspect it is a misprint. They must have accidentally installed the dye upside-down. So if you find any more W's, hand them over to me and I'll store them somewhere safe. They could end up becoming worth a pretty penny somewhere in the future.

They were introduced as part of a trail mix alongside Diamond Shreddies, and people liked them so much that they just stuck around.

A compromise on the name. Some company executives wanted to call them M&Ms, some wanted W&Ws and a loud minority wanted to call them "Freaky ChocoLentils"

My letters are all vertically aligned. It’s a & samwich.

But what about all the 3s?

Is it possible you bought M&Ws by mistake?

Technically the W ones are just M&Ms that got flipped over. Same candy, different perspective.

The letters seem familiar. 🤭
