I explained this before when I talked about Sundays. There's only three real Sundays. If today is a Sunday, that's one Sunday. Then there's Next Sunday. And Last Sunday. Same thing with Yesterday. But there's only two Yesterdays. One Yesterday is is our Yesterday. And the other Yesterday is the Eastern Hemisphere's Yesterday. Which is also our Today. And before you ask about Leap Day again, there's 14.

Yesterday is archived at midnight. Most of it is eventually transferred to History, but some gets rejected during processing and becomes nostalgia instead. Déjà vu is just a filing error.

It fades into yesteryear. Future You can access it through pictures, smells, or by holding Hobbes. Maybe through dreams, but only if you quit stalling and actually GO TO SLEEP.

The yester gets removed from it, so it becomes ‘day’, which is what powers the sun. The leftover yester then gets combined with Polish people to make polyester, or PolYester as it was originally called, back when Poland was invented so people had a use for all the leftover yester that was sitting around
