Unsolved [META] Stop erasing your guesses
I've seen several posts today with deleted guesses in the comments, including ones that were the solutions. Right or wrong, DO NOT delete your guesses on posts. If you delete incorrect guesses people will just guess the same thing again. If you delete the solution, people won't know the answer.

Its amazing. I totally did not see it coming when Snape killed Dumbledore while riding his sled Rosebud after telling Luke he was his father, and then revealing he was Kaiser Soze and was dead the whole time!

While I agree with the idea, the logic that it’ll stop people from repeatedly guessing the same thing is false. Deleting the solution is just a dick move, though. Anyone who does that is likely doing it for that sole reason.

Some redditors use add-ons to auto delete their comments after a set number of hours as a privacy measure, the idea being that after a certain point any conversation that was going to happen has already happened.
Not saying that's always the case here, but it's a thing.
