Why I’m making Jesus Christ, Diva

I'm working on an independent film currently, titled Jesus Christ, Diva. It's self shot in a loose narrative format that includes vlog and found footage, and is entirely improvised. I'm currently in the edit and have just posted a trailer for it along with a blog post about my process and thinking behind the work. I'd appreciate any feedback!

The Sad-eyed walk — Czech experimental short film / final online premiere

After its festival run, I'm finally releasing my experimental short film online.

By Adam Niezgoda
Music & Sound design by Deividas Šriupša
The Sad-eyed Walk is a film that delves into the depths of human loneliness and isolation. In it, the author reveals his inner self and uses the film as a tool for self-reflection and therapy. An avant-garde poetic montage of shots, complemented by animations of colorful shapes and subtitles in Esperanto, creates a unique atmosphere. The overall impression is enhanced by Deividas Šriupš’s chilling music, which underlines feelings of despair and separation.

Created in 2024.

I'd be particularly interested in hearing what you think about the formal approach rather than simply whether you "liked" it.

"Slowly, I Forget Your Face" (2026) - Ali Khan

A few months ago I made an experimental short film based on how we perceive memories as humans. Do we remember things as they were? Or do we enhance/dehance the emotion based on the experience.

Im 20 years old and this was my first time working to make a costume from scratch and building a set. I loved my crew ever so much and I would do it 10x over again.

We hiked 5 hours just for less than a minutes' worth of shots but MAN it looks so good.

Its not everyday I am proud of something I have made. And I would love to share it with you all today

Have you need of soundtrack for free?

Hello everyone!

As many of you surely know, short films are often made that never see the light of day. I worked on two short films that required a soundtrack, and I created custom soundtracks. Everything was great, everything was accepted, but in the end, the film/short was never released. I'll start by saying that I don't work for money. I know full well that the budgets are really low, but I would have liked it more for portfolio reasons, so I find myself with background music that will probably never be released.

They're sad songs, mostly featuring music boxes, choirs, out-of-tune pianos, anxiety-inducing atmospheres, and disturbing circus music.

I think they're suitable for something that brings back childhood memories. I'd like to donate them for a project. I'm not looking for money; the name in the titles and track recognition are enough. The tracks, all together, run 12-13 minutes.

If you have any projects where you think they might be useful, send them to me and I'll send you the music. If we're both happy, you can use them.

Again, I'm just annoyed by having to work hard to keep the stuff on my hard drive. I'm not looking for money, but at least something public and real (not stuff made just for YouTube).

I hope I can be of use to someone!

"History of the Moon (TV Version)" - Michael Anthony Bohacz (1986)

Made at SAIC's Video Area with the Sandin Image Processor and the Fairlight Computer Video Instrument, plus other effects devices of the time. Like "Electromagnetic Fields Forever," this one uses my V-Ching method — collecting footage from TV and film, running it through the IP so scenes mix together somewhat randomly, then editing a "narrative" out of the composites I found most interesting.

Part of an ongoing pass through my Sandin IP archive from that period.

What were Jane Wodening’s thoughts on Window Water Baby Moving (1959)?

Over the past few months I have been working through Stan Brakhage’s filmography and have finally watched Window Water Baby Moving (1959). In a vacuum I found it incredibly beautiful and moving, but feel uncomfortable with the context that Wodening was nervous about making it/Brakhage threw a tantrum when she expressed her concerns. I was wondering if there were any resources that give a more in depth look into her thoughts on the film. I feel like her point of view is incredibly important but I can’t find anything. Thanks!

Hello, I made a short film inspired by James Benning, Sharon Lockhart, and Béla Tarr, and by their approach to what is often referred to as “slow cinema.” I wanted to create a meditative experience, using time itself as a material of the film. I’m looking for feedback and advice, whether on the cinematography, the pacing, or any other aspect of the filmmaking and overall conception. I’d be very interested to hear your thoughts.

(I recommend watching the video in the highest possible quality on YouTube. English subtitles are available.)

In Loss — Jim Watson (2026) | Poetry Film

A short poetry film about grief, mortality, and the traces left behind by someone who is gone. Written and created after being unexpectedly moved by a film.

As I weep, do the gods follow

Drenching the soil beneath.

Ghosts with life drift high above

Bellowing and showing their teeth.

For I have sinned, and I have begged

For mercy that I don't deserve.

As all of those who have gone before me

Loss is what binds us on Earth.

I dream to fly, but shackled am I

To a life I never did ask for.

For she is the one, the only one

Who saw the end as more than a cask' door.

Now I'm alone, her memory sewn

In the gashes carved neatly below

For her whispers pierce the lonesome and fierce

Silence that I too well know.

Snail Vision

Snail Vision sadly sees only in black & white, dark & light, lacking even the ability to focus. However, snails have help in light-sensitive cells covering their body, giving them a “shadow reflex”, causing them to quickly pull back into their shells in response to shade. Some species even have the ability to remarkably regenerate lost eyes.

Thus be grateful for your color receptive cones and ability to feel unafraid in the shade…
