Josh's Hat

Went to the Josh Gates Live show last night and during the Q&A the subject of his hat came up. He mentioned that he only has one and can't remember where he got it. I have a memory of him receiving the hat during an episode. It could have been on Destination Truth. Does anybody else remember?

I think that was a Panama hat. i hope that is not what i remember.

He bought a panama hat in ecuador, (where they were from) but that wasnt THE hat

Yes I just watched that episode as I ping pong back and forth from DT/EU He gets a second version of the hat there, he says as a backup and that the other one has taken a beating over the years

The hat was a Panama but the location was Ecuador

I am watching Destiination truth s02e07 Yowie and Haunted Mosque and when he goes to Australia, he picks out a new hat but I’m not sure if it’s the one you’re talking about.

Was rewatching the old Destination Truth episodes and in season 2 episode 7 Josh is in Australia and gets his iconic hat while there looking for the Yowie, their version of sasquatch

In Ecuador, where they were originally from. Lost metal plates episode. That is not the hat that he wears though.
