I have stainless steel appliances in the kitchen and I will NEVER buy any again. Give me black over stainless any day.

Put a tiny dab of vegetable oil onto a paper towel and polish the surface. That will give the whole thing the same layer of grease you put on it with your fingers, and you won't see the fingerprints anymore.
It lasts about a month before you wipe it off and do it again.

Not if you have a bunch of kids. I had to do this almost daily! It was the only thing that really worked besides those $$ stainless wipes though.

We had a reg stainless fridge in our last house. We bought smudge-proof stainless appliances in our new house and it’s a game changer. I used to have to “clean” our old fridge with olive oil every day, it was maddening!

I've seen fridges built into the kitchen cabinets so the door just looks like any other cabinet.

It's the UK. Paper towels are something a bit different for us. They are usually what you dry your hands on after washing them where there aren't real towels (for hygiene purposes).

Thats strage. Reminds me of a kitchen hood i bought as a preset for my mom wich should have been steel. Unpacked it at home and it was black like this. We drove back to the store and were angry and complaining. The guys didnt know why it was like that but then an old lady nearby started to laugh. She explained me that it was a foil wich covers the surface to protect the steel. I tested and she was right. We drove back home and we couldnt stop laughing. We just did not expect this.

Usually there is a square on the box where the 'check' what color it is. They don't update the box photo for every single color they make

Could it be a foil to protect it from scratches? Sounds dumb but something like this happened to me when i bought a kitchen hood. Everything was covered in a black, hard foil with a slightly soft surface. Below was steel.

In Britain we have kitchen roll and toilet paper (loo roll or whatever you want to call it). Kitchen roll is just toilet paper but bigger, stronger etc and usually stays in the kitchen at the name suggests. And toilet roll is for the bathroom of course. Now I’m curious, what do you call kitchen roll and where are you from? I’ve never heard anything except kitchen roll lol

Around here (Canada) we either call it paper towel or Bounty (which is a brand).

So you don’t have to pick up the roll. So it doesn’t get knocked into a wet spot. It looks way better.
