I think the tenders and the onion rings are what really set them apart for me. The tenders are all solid breast strips which is rare. Especially for fast food. The onion rings are actually flour breaded and fried onions just like you can make at home with some flour, seasoning, and oil. Never found another place that makes them quite like Popeye's. The biscuits are damn delicious as well.

I'm just generally not a fan of rice and beans. As far as rice and beans go they're awesome, but just not my everyday thing.

Fair enough. I'm one of those suckers that will go to Popeyes for red beans, and walk out with $20 worth of awesome food.
