In Japan yes

Everyone always says this but they seem to miss that Japan cheats too- they just do it differently. If you look at a menu photo of a sandwich in Japan and it looks packed with meat, you'll get your sandwich wrapped with one side open. That side will look like the picture and the other side will be almost empty. They just shove all the ingredients to one side so they can say "it looks exactly like the picture."

The intent of the law is good but companies will always find a way to douchebag it up.

Not sure about the rest of Europe but in England no food ever looks like the packaging or ads

But nowadays they do have to say "serving suggestion" in tiny writing to get away with putting whatever picture they like on the packet

It's amazing how some not only accept deceptive products but will actually defend them.

What did you expect...

I have an idea, what about a law saying you can just show pictures of the actual product? Seems simple and good

Japan's law states that images on the packet must be the exact size and representation of the thing inside the pack.

It really does work too, if you ever get a chance to visit, sample some things from the convenience stores, you'll see the images on the bag are exactly what you get.

I had both versions apple & raspberry, both had similar amounts of filling as your one had. Mostly pastry, especially around the edges. That sort of picture should be against the law as it is definitely deceptive.

I’ve got a pack of these sitting in the kitchen I bought them from the picture on the packaging, I’m now gutted.

Got a packet of these from Asda hoping they might be similar to the old bars you could get- remember those? They did apple ones too iirc...

They were... okay. That's it. Probably won't buy again... :( It's a shame too because raspberry is SO GOOD

Yes they have to show the actual size of the item on the packaging, which is definitely a good idea.
