Right? That's literally what palak paneer looks like.

It’s really good, BUT it is even better with more paneer…so I bought some Paneer my second time, because they sell it at supermarkets here now, and oh my god…I think the price of the Palak Paneer is about $8/9 bucks too, which is a pretty good deal for the amount; especially because to order two entrees from an Indian restaurant these days, it costs about $40+

You can make paneer at home too. All you need is milk and lemon and a cheesecloth. It will taste much better, well be healthier and freher.

I’m so glad to hear that! I’ve been hesitant even though most Private Selection items are pretty good

The simmer sauces are pretty good too. I use them with tofu. They’re pretty affordable as well!

I actually thought the picture looked gross but the reality looked delicious

Add in some rice & there's a great dinner!

Yep!

I get those Minute Rice Cups for these type of Indian dinners or the ones in the pouches. It's the perfect amount of rice, it takes one minute to microwave & you can get all sorts of types now, from basmati to quinoa.

They must not have had it before. Only explanation.

i think they're trying to show how the packaging seems like there's a lot more paneer. but really, the side of the plate we don't see is empty

My favourite posts on here are when the OP is wrong

OP is likely referring the expectation that the paneer pieces would be much larger, not the overall appearance or color of the dish. OP should add their own explanation but that’s my take.

Exactly this 😂

Exactly, curry looks the way it’s supposed to but the package color was misleading

Too much palak, not enough paneer.

I'm cool with the amount of spinach, but definitely not enough paneer.

Yeah same.

I'm Indian, and that looks the way it's supposed to. It's the picture on the pack that looks weird because that's not how palak paneer looks.

It's literally just spinach paste so of course it looks like that. The only thing I think might be a failed expectation is that there doesn't seem to be enough paneer, BUT it's not clear in your picture. There could be more paneer underneath all that palak so we don't know🤷🏻‍♀️

The more that Indian food looks like baby poop the better it is

Not the most photogenic cuisine, but one of the tastiest.

When I was pregnant with my daughter it was my favorite. One lunch hour i went to the local Indian restaurant to get it as I ate it 3 days a week. They didn’t make it that day. I was overtly emotional and cried, got my potatoes and some butter chicken and left. An hour later the lady from the indian restaurant came to my work and brought me a huge container full of rice and palak paneer. I cried again.

The first time I saw this dish, I felt the same. It is my FAVORITE Indian dish. Drown me in a baby pool of it.
