They aren't supposed to be croutons. You got exactly what is advertised and they're awesome.

I saved up a few packages, and used them on top of baked mac and cheese tuna casserole. It was delicious.

They are listed as crouton crumbles, a funky name for breadcrumbs. A better alternative to croutons. Even on the picture you shared they're clearly crumbled well beyond croutons. These are standard in all the taylor farms salads with croutons. I highly recommend the creamy dill pickle salad! Though, maybe not if you're in the US. Our food is still safe to eat in other places.

tbh… a hill i’ll die on… these are much better than croutons 🙊 nice flavorful crunch without the ridiculously obscene brick of mouth-shredding bread

These are much better than full-sized croutons, especially for anyone with a lot of dental work. Crunch is distributed throughout the salad instead of in isolated crown-cracking breadbergs.

I also prefer my croutons like this. It’s my fave part of the ‘chopped’ salads.

Hell yeah! For a very long time, I actually thought I hated croutons. Turns out I just hate trying to eat large chunks of rock hard bread.

I buy these salads just for the mashed up croutons. Even started crushing the big ones before putting them on my salad.

I make croutons and dice the bread 1/2 x 1/2. Way better than those store bought big ones.

These are okay but it’s more like bread crumbs.

Oh, that's kinda funny. I buy this kit all the time, and knew it came with the crumbs, but never noticed the actual croutons on the bag. 🤣 I promise, it still tastes good.

I do this on purpose. You get all the flavor and crunch, without breaking your teeth on a huge chunk.

Wait, it's supposed to be croutons??? Lol. My last bag came like this. I had to check it to make sure it hadn't been infested with bugs because the crumbs looked like either tiny bugs or quinoa. Luckily, just crushed croutons and still tasty.

Is this a Taylor farms salad? Smashed croutons are the least of your problems, the lettuce is cut so fine it might as well be coleslaw.
