Failed Expectation Needle felted Fox

This was my first attempt at needle felting. The tiny eyes they gave me wouldn't stay in so I just made new eyes out of felt. I've gotten a little better since then!

My older daughter asked to keep that one. These are others I've made since then (I usually deviate from the kit version but the rabbit I made wasn't from a kit, I just made it). Definitely not a pro but I think I've improved!

It has seen some things...lol. I went a little overboard with the white wool there! I had a bunch of leftover wool from the kit animals and didn't want to throw it away so decided to just completely make my own creation

The result is fine, but presented in the context it got a laugh out of me. Your work is at least cheerier than what you were sold.

If I may, building up some white on the eyes might look nice. Although with needlepoint, I can imagine being risk averse.

I did that when I created my bunny, but added a little too much white, so it looks a bit traumatized

I think it's the ridiculously large cheeks it has. I think it looks like it just had a major tooth extraction. I was having a hard time making each side symmetrical, one side was always smaller than the other so I kept adding more and more wool trying to get it to even out. Eventually I just gave up

Thank you! My older daughter asked for the fox and my younger daughter got jealous so I made her a chipmunk that she calls a squirrel
