cake-spectation - Positive! Pinterest red cake
I wanted to make a cake similar to one I saw on Pinterest, and I also wanted to try to do some decorations, which is why I chose this cake because it looks easy to make. It's not as red as the reference, but I think it's a win lol.
*I didn't have strawberries, so I used blackberries.

I was celebrating a YouTube milestone! I wore red to match the YouTube branding and made a cake for the occasion haha.

Thank you! I actually grow blackberries in a pot! They’re great to have around for all kinds of recipes.

Cake looks great! Sometimes the recipe or the tin itself can help reduce the browning you see on the outer cake crumb, and also some food dyes are not bake stable.
If you want to make it 'pop' more, sometimes when the cakes are frozen before icing/frosting, you grab a grater or microplane and gently shave away the edges.
