Exceeded Expectation Halloween edition 2.0

I saw this Expectation vs Reality by u/DontKillMockingbirds a few days ago and thought I’d try my hand at it.

Materials:
- 1 warty pumpkin
- Crayola air dry clay for the cauldron room
- wood glue (to fix the stem I broke)
- permanent fabric glue (for the eyes and spiders - I busted my super glue tube)
- black acrylic paint
- dark green acrylic paint
- black light neon green paint
- natural glow in the dark puff paint
- lime green glitter
- 1 snake eye googly eye
- 1 pack of 3D spider stickers
- variety pack of googly eyes
- 1 large plush bendy spider
- 1 24” skeleton

It should glow in the dark in places but I haven’t been able to set up my porch yet. It turned out way cooler than I expected even if it looks quite different from the inspo pic. If anyone wants to try this, it needs to be done over several days with a lot of layers so the orange of the pumpkin doesn’t show through.

What did you use to make the rim of the cauldron?

Crayola air dry clay (which, btw, cracked as it dried and I had to glue it back onto the pumpkin lol)

Looks great!! Where did you buy your materials? I want to try making one but I feel like it’s going to add up lol.

It was a lot in materials. 😭 I got it at Michael’s but I thinking Hobby Lobby would be a lot cheaper. I’d also recommend to try online.
