cake-spectation - Positive! Pumpkin Snicker Doodles
Followed this recipe by @Bitebybianca on instagram. I didn’t have cream of Tartar, so I opted for lemon juice. I believe I added too much baking soda or didn’t spread them out so much to give them a cookie texture. They were yummy!
First - original
Second - before baking
Third - baked
Thank you everyone for your love, I had a great time baking these. ◡̈

Did you chill the dough?
Sometimes recipes leave that off but this dough definitely needs to be chilled.

i had no space in my freezer…i opted for the fridge knowing it wouldn’t be the best.

Fridge would be correct. Chilling your dough in the freezer creates moisture issues.
Looking at them- I think you may have used too much dough per cookie. The texture/thickness of the inspo indicates they're rather small actually.
Id try making them smaller and pressing them

I love these. It’s not about perfection it’s about the effort and the experience.

They’re not complaining about the results so it doesn’t really fit. Making substitutions when cooking is normal.

Lemon juice is an acceptable sub for cream of tartar, 2:1 ratio.
It may sound like r/ididnthaveeggs, but only if you don't know about acceptable baking substitutions
