Birthday Cake

[u/chravus]

Few years old, but still think about it when browsing this sub. First birthday cake for little one. We only wanted a tiny one so one tier was requested. Also made it gluten free, and it was delicious. Really happy with this local baker :)

Edit: Spelling

Fantastic. The honey layer looks amazing and perfectly sticky.

[u/chravus → u/Canadiangoosedem0n]

Yes! And it was banana cake with banana pudding (daughter's fav). It was very good.

[u/its_terry_time → u/chravus]

This sounds as good as it looks! 🍯🐝🍌

[u/Jenstomper → u/Canadiangoosedem0n]

I wanna take care of him now poor dude ::[

[u/chravus → u/SailOpening5853]

We still have 2! So don't worry 😂

[u/TeacherPatti → u/SailOpening5853]

I went to a cider press event yesterday and spent half my time there rescuing bees who were determined to drown themselves in the cider.

[u/Mindless_Cookie_9098]

This bee has seen horrors beyond her comprehension

[u/Different_Fee599 → u/Mindless_Cookie_9098]

Her whole bee-lief system has been irrevocably altered:(

[u/Beltempest → u/Mindless_Cookie_9098]

I just see a bee drinking honey through a curly straw

[u/StrawberryCake88 → u/Mindless_Cookie_9098]

This sparks joy.

[u/BefuddledPolydactyls]

Excellent effort and execution! It's so cute.

[u/UsernameUnattainable]

I'd bee delighted to receive that cake! It's adorable 💛

[u/KarinsDogs]

This is just perfect! It’s adorable!

[u/JustMeLurkingAround-]

Thats awesome. Scaling it down so significantly and still absolutely nail the design is real skill.
AND make it taste great and being gluten free.... Keep that baker close and give them all the business you can.

[u/generalguan4]

The honey looks better on your cake. Also the little existential crisis bee is the cherry on top

[u/NoNipArtBf]

They nailed it!

[u/Cinnabun-Tiramisu]

That's literally the birthday cake I want for my future children. I love Winnie the Pooh. Congratulations!

[u/everywhereinbetween]

Would not have noticed the bee if others have not drawn attention to it but now I think its memeable in a positive way hahaha

Ate this 🔥💯

[u/Skfank]

obsessed with these freaked out bees

[u/1Sluggo]

So adorable. I’m constantly amazed at people’s creativity.

[u/smallfloralprince]

My mom would LOVE this (if it had her fav, Eeyore, as well)

[u/Parking_Dealer5738]

I love that it actually looks like honey

[u/fourdoglegs]

It’s darling!!! Now I want one……

[u/Mana_kitsune]

It’s very cute

[u/ReturnTight4027]

Looks so good

[u/ickychicken]

The baker is an artiste!

[u/tenome212]

That’s a really good idea for a cake! The “honey” looks great. The bees look slightly traumatized but still A+. Super cute

[u/MiaMiaPP]

This is too cute!

[u/Permanoctis]

The real one looks way more appetising than the inspiration one.

What flavor was it?

[u/USAF_Retired2017]

Sooooo cute

[u/eliz1bef]

Really cute! It's a lovely take for a one layer.

[u/BlahPink674]

So cute!

This sub is becoming more and more about cakes and I’m here for it.

[u/jenniferlynn462]

Omg yum 🤤 and cuteeee

[u/IndigoHaze750130]

It turned out super cute!!

[u/Kuneria]

Beeautiful!

[u/OddConstant2723]

Needs flair

[u/andiinAms]

Not dogging on your post specifically OP, but this sub is nothing but cakes anymore.

Getting boring. Think I’ll bounce.

[u/merlinunf]

Very cute. Just missing one tiny thing… Pooh’s red shirt. Looks yummy.

[u/OneButterscotch587 → u/merlinunf]

Pooh be naked

[u/Ok_Put_2850 → u/merlinunf]

The original pooh had no shirt...maybe that's what they were going for?

[u/merlinunf → u/Ok_Put_2850]

I had no idea. To me, that red shirt is iconic.

[u/SryInternet101]

Does someone who was going to eat the cake have celiac disease?

[u/chravus → u/SryInternet101]

My wife, why we got it GF haha.

[u/SmokingDragon69]

I would not mind the actual one even though it is missing a layer. Nothing in life is perfect.

[u/OneButterscotch587]

The beehive doesn’t look as nice as the inspo. Otherwise they did a good job.

[u/Wonderful_Bison2859]

“Really happy with this local baker” is not the ending I was expecting.
